A good number of you might not have heard of the possibility to rebuild your vision so this might be a little surprising for you. Truth is, rebuilding your vision is not only possible, it's actually quite straightforward. I went from a clueless myopic teenager to almost glasses free in around 8 months.
The concepts are simple - it takes me more or less 5 days to grasp them. It's picking healthy vision habits that is difficult for many of us - and sound vision habits is fundamental to naturally improve your vision.
Here, I'll share with you two of the simples habits I picked up in the first week of starting. I will not go into too much detail due to limitations here but I've set up a blog where I share my experience. Now let's dive into the good stuff.
I quickly picked up this habit simply because it's enjoyable. I wondered why I've never done it sooner. It's called "Sunning".
It's easy to do - just close your eyes and face the sun then swing your head left to right and back again. While doing this, you'll feel the warmth of the sun shifts across your face, and you'll notice the sun seem to "move in the opposite direction of where you're swinging to." That means if you're swinging to the left, it might appear to be moving to the right.
Sunning is not only beneficial for your eye, it's also beneficial for your overall health. Your body need sunlight to produce vitamin D and not to mention is relaxing properties of the sun.
Warning: Don't do this if the sun is glaring and remember not to wear any form of corrective lenses while doing this!
So why is sunning beneficial to your eye?- The warm ray of sunlight relaxes your eye - and therefore reduces strain that was induced by glasses, squinting and forcing your eye open when it's already tired.
- Remember the opposite movement of the sun I talked about earlier? Movement is crucial if you want to rebuild your vision. The concept is complex so I'll go in depth here but feel free to visit my blog if you want to know how movement affects your vision.
It is obvious that you shouldn't overdo this. Most people derive most benefit from just sunning 5 - 10 minutes every day, although 20 - 30 minutes of sun exposure is required for your overall health.
To take the concept of sunning one step further, you can combine it with an exercise called "palming". Which brings me to my next exercise.
Palming is also very simple to do. Just close your eyes and put your palm over them with your fingers crossing each other. Since I can't display a picture here, feel free to check it out at my blog. Make sure that you don't touch your eye and try to block out as much light as possible. If some light still seeps through, don't worry about it.
Palming is a great way to rest your eyes when you're in the middle of work. For me, it only takes about 5 minutes to get the effects of 10 minutes of rest.
Palming blocks out all the light so that your eye can rest in total darkness plus the warmth from your palm also relaxes your eye and reduced strain just like sunlight would.
So if you alternately sun and palm, not only will you get the effects of both, you'll also develop better darkness to brightness adaptation and vice versa.
As I said, due to space and linking limitations, I can't go into the details here. So I have set-up a website where you can learn more exercises that will help you effortlessly rebuild your vision?
Katie Chan is the owner of Rebuild Your Vision Naturally blog where she shares information on good vision habits, eye exercises and supplements she used to get rid of her glasses after having worn them for more than 15 years.

Our eyes and vision were designed for viewing distance as hunters and gatherers, and not for ongoing near work as required by regular computer use. As a result, Computer Eye Strain is becoming one of the major eye complaints heard by eye doctors today.
Symptoms can include increased myopia, blurred vision, headaches, slow refocusing, difficulty concentrating, neck, shoulder and back pain
Eye strain can be reduced significantly by taking regular breaks from the computer, resting your eyes, stretching and doing eye exercises.
For a demo of 3 great eye exercises by Dr. Grossman, one of the Country's leading behavioral optometrists, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W10j2fL0hy0
